Blonde Bites Back

We know Bill Maher has a problem with women. We know he does, because he refers regularly to them as "twats" or "cunts" or some such offensive jargon. Believe me, whether you're John McCain or Bill Maher, if you refer to any woman by the c-word, you got a problem with the feminine gender.

Bill's not had such a great time this season. Women are calling him out on his bullshit. That's good. Anyone who claims to be a Progressive doesn't get a bye by calling women offensive names and making sexist remarks, no matter how much you temper your comedic remarks with musings about women bringing sense and sensibility into politics and life in general.

I was glad when a Democrat, Jane Harman, confronted Bill for his appalling remarks about Megyn Kelly on Fox News:-

She played the pot calling the kettle black perfectly, and Bill and fellow misogynist, Michael "Rape is Hooey" Moore tried snark about Harman's remarks.

More recently, Bill's in New York on a book tour, and so today, he dropped in on the ladies of The View for what he thought was goingn to be a bit of book-punting and punditry. Elizabeth Hasselbeck thought otherwise. She remembered a remark Bill levied about her in a New Rules segment, specifically after Lara Logan's ordeal, earlier in the year, and she took advantage of him being physically by her side for a little less-than-gentle chiding.

Admittedly, it did get puerile, when the two started acting like a couple of bitchy high school mean girls towards each other; but Haseelbeck was obviously offended by what she perceived to be a personal remark aimed at her, and she struck whilst the iron was good and hot.

I'm not a fan of Hasselbeck or her policy beliefs, but this is absolutely priceless:-

I'd say that the score is now Blondes 2-Bill nil. And a blonde from each side of the political coin. Not false equivalency. I guess misogyny doesn't recognise Right or Left also.
