The President Hands Jake Tapper His Ass

I've been waiting so long for this. Tapper is a glorified blogger from the Joan Walsh school of journalism - and if you're interested, Joan's got an absolutely pathetic, gin-sodden speculative character assassination of Nancy Lanza up on her Salon rag, which inevitably meanders into blaming the President for the Sandy Hook disaster.

Tapper was in the right place at the right time to blag his blog into a job at ABC, covering the White House. Between him and upChuck Todd, they've managed to show more disrespect in Press Conferences to this President than any other previous one.

Gee, I wonder why?

However ... not today, Jake. Not today. You just had your ass served up on a plate by the President of the United States, and at the end, you looked like you wanted to eat some crow.

  1. Jake Tapper, Chuck Todd, and the other media stenographers who fail repeatedly to do their jobs are always on the lookout for another opportunity to blame their cowardice on the president. If I were POTUS and were asked, "Where have you been?" in reference to a question about gun control, I couldn't restrain myself and would have to say,"Why haven't you been doing your job as a journalist and informing Americans about the amount of money the NRA spends in an effort to thwart any/all gun legislation?" We know exactly why the Tappers and Todds of the world give President Obama a hard time, Emilia, and it's not because he's a democrat. I think part of their obvious disdain for him is because he doesn't fit their profile of what a black male should be, and the other part is because he hasn't sought to become their "friend." He maintains his distance from them, unlike his immediate predecessor, and they resent him for it. When PBO began doing interviews with local TV stations around the country, Tapper was one of the first in the WH Press Corps to complain about it. I don't blame the president for circumventing them because they twist everything he says into an unrecognizable form to promote their own biases. I view them as an extension of the Republican Party and thus, not worth paying attention to. I know poisonous snakes when I see them.
